General
Wilson Backcountry Sports is a small shop established in 1993 providing service for backcountry skiing and cycling.
In winters We specialize in backcountry skiing, offering quality telemark and randonne equipment. A careful choice of products from brands like Blackdiamond, G3, Garmont, Lifelink , Dynafit, Scarpa, B.C.A and others help to assure that our customers get the gear they can depend on in the backcountry. Our location at the base of Teton Pass offers a great testing ground for equipment. Their staff of dedicated skiers can help you with current ski conditions, maps and appropriate gear selection for your skiing style.
Skiing
We offer the following ski services:
Mounting, Tuning, Rentals and Boot fitting.
Winter in Wilson Backcountry Sports has the ski techs busy with mounting backcountry skis for telelmark and randonne skis. A newly acquired ski tuning machine, Wintersteiger's Grindrite 2100, has the techs excited about the high quality tunes they are producing giving the customers skis and snowboards their maximum performance.
Boot fitting keeps the folks at Wilson Backcountry Sports very busy. Almost all of the current backcountry ski boots today come with heat moldable liners. The staff at Wilson Backcountry has done extensive amounts of these heat moldable fittings. They take care to size and fit the customer with a boot to achieve the most performance and comfort possible.
Winter ski rentals are offered for both telemark and Randonee skiing. Renting current top of the line models of skis from Black Diamond and K2. Fritschi bindings are the randonne bindings utilized. Black Diamond Ascension climbing skins are also part of their rental offerings. Also available for rent are snowshoes and cross country skis.
Biking
We offer the following biking services: Full service tuning, maintenance, repairs and bike rentals.
Summers for Wilson Backcountry Sports means biking. Teton Pass and the surrounding area offers lots of amazing cycling opportunities. Our staff of avid cyclists can help you with the latest trail conditions, maps and guide books to get you there. Wilson Backcountry has a full service repair shop. Let our experienced mechanics tune and repair your bicycle to get it running its best. We also offer bike rentals with a selection of mountain, hybrid, or road bikes to choose from.
